He recieved his basic training in laparoscopy under world renowned Tehempton E Udwadia at Breach Candy Hospital and research centre, Mumbai and later an advanced fellowship in Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgery at the University of Minnesota, USA. He is a certified Consultant Surgeon by Dubai Health Authority and Oman Health Authority. He recieved a honorary Fellowship, FMAS for his contribution for advancement of minimal access surgery from the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India.
